This kind of falsification of information lulled everyone into a false feeling of safety. Wall Street Journal was grossly wrong in claiming that “regulations driven by nationalism” was at the “core of any in-depth explanation of Bhopal tragedy” (January 21, 1985, cited in Jones, 1988, 37).
